Malus sp.
non-native, deciduous, varied leaf colour depending on variety, apple fruit with a diameter less than 2″, slow to medium growth rate, flowers in mid-late spring. Very popular yard specimen due to the fragrant, prolific blossoms that range from white to pink to red. Great for pollinators, birds and other wildlife. A bit of apple clean up in the fall is worth it!
