When should tree pruning be done?

Anytime between late fall and early spring a good time for tree trimming or pruning. However, as long as the total removed volume is under 30% most pruning can be safely done at any time of the year. Can you kill a tree by pruning?

Over pruning reduces the foliage that’s available for making food for the rest of the plant and can allow pests and diseases access to the tree, if cuts are made incorrectly. So, over pruned trees and shrubs can die as a long term result of the associated stress. Keep pruning below 30% of the total canopy. Removal of all dead or dying branches is always recommended.

How deep should you grind a stump?

How deep CAN THE stump grinder go? We generally grind four to six inches below grade (ground level).  This leaves ample space for planting a new tree, re-establishing lawn or adding to your garden. Stump grinding is a great way to remove stumps and roots with little to no impact to your property.
